"Binge reading" is one of my very ancient habits that I have forsaken with time. Reading "out books" while hiding them in textbooks or at bed times secretly with the help of a torch or Nokia phone light is a very common childhood memory of people of my age. The only difference between them and me is that they constantly kept doing that. On the other hand I left that precious hobby for some external restriction. Nevertheless, I have been inspired and trying to make the habit of reading arise again for some days. For starters, I choose a very heavy book about the discernible human patriarchy and how women are becoming a bait of all-time's unbelievable customs and rituals in every span of time. Oh well, the book is namely 'Naari' by Humayun Azad. This is my first reading of this author. So I can not just judge his performance good or bad by only one book moreover I still did not complete the book. But he did make some good point that does not need any argument in my view. I will try to write a review when I am done. But today what I want to write is a very funny and mocking thing at the same time.
I was trying to learn Spanish a while ago. There I get to know that every noun is either feminine and masculine. This is not me raising concerns because why every noun will have to be gender-based. This is me shockingly surprised this can even be done. I mean who thinks that in this way? For example, bread (el pan) is a masculine gender while apple (la manzana) is a feminine gender. Hotel (el hotel) is a masculine while suitcase (la maleta) is a feminine word.
I am a very rookie learner so I don't know the sole reasoning behind this but somehow I found it funny and ironic. I have a different thought on their pronunciation also. I think once they mispronounced a word in English and made it their language. hahahaha! I have my reasons. See for example they say the hotel as "otel", aqua as "agua", train "tren", airport "aeropuerto". I feel so good learning this language. Japanese was very tough when I was trying to learn it. But Spanish learning is very fun! :v
